FROM TRAINING TO PLACEMENT

Please join us in congratulating Employ 210 "graduate trainees" Mia Pearce and Nathan Van Alstyne on their new jobs at Morgan's Wonderland - "the world's first and only Ultra-Accessible TM, fully-inclusive theme park." Back in May, Mia and Nathan completed the job training program we developed specifically for neurodivergent individuals seeking summer jobs at Morgan's. Held at Morgan's MAC (Multi-Assistance Center), the training was built around hands-on learning exercises and simulated workplace scenarios that prepared trainees for park services and food services positions.
'Work is going great," said Mia, whose workweek entails two four-hour shifts. While she enjoys working as a playground monitor, her favorite place in the park is the Sensory Village. In addition to having fond childhood memories of that part of the park, Mia loves the village's carousel horses and has even given them names.
As for Nathan, his weekly four-hour shift takes him all over the park to maintain the facilities and assist with janitorial duties. Although Nathan enjoys exploring the entire campus, he especially likes watching park guests cooling off on the colorful splash pads in Morgan's Inspiration Island.
"Both Mia and Nathan are doing great," Morgan's Wonderland Rides/Park Services Supervisor Adam Busby confirmed. "They are valued team members and contribute a lot."
