Employ 210 Training: Instructional Assistant + Volunteer Opportunity

Virtual training options:

• M/W June 1 and 3 from 9:00am-11:00am *OR*
• T/Th June 2 and 4 from 2:00pm-4:00pm

An Instructional Assistant supports students with special needs by assisting with instruction, behavior management, personal care, safety, social skills, and the implementation of individualized educational goals in the classroom. After training, participants are invited to volunteer with Camp Durango to gain experience working with children who have disabilities in an educational and fun setting. Volunteers will be accompanied by Employ 210 staff. The following volunteer weeks/times are:

• ​June 8-11 from 8am-1pm
• June 15-18 from 8am-1pm

After completing the training, participants will be prepared to apply to their desired school district for the upcoming school year, with opportunities for both full-time and substitute positions that offer flexible scheduling.

Employ 210 is offering FREE job training to prepare participants for employment with RK Catering.This training is designed specifically for neurodivergent individuals who are interested in building skills and gaining employment in the food and service industry.
Interested participants should have:

• Prior experience in food service or customer service reflected on résumé preferred 
• ​Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-demand work environment 
• Capacity to independently manage and schedule work shifts 
• ​Ability to lift and carry heavy items and be comfortable being on their feet for long hours during shifts
